Writing from Crown Heights BK, Alexis is originally from the Detroit area and designs for the NY architecture office a+i.
Interested in the relationship (and sometimes lack thereof) between practice and theory, her master’s thesis focused on the problem of architectural representation in the digital era, specifically on the return of rendering and formalism over narrative and ambiguity.
Alexis enjoys the quirky, off and marginalized histories of architecture (well, really, of everything) and hopes to teach an alternate kind of architectural education someday.
