Part 1

Designers are not exactly known for their healthy life choices - late nights in studio, long days at the desk at work, living entirely off of Trader Joe's snack food (that last may be a purely personal vice). Improving your fitness is a great way to relieve stress and discipline your mind, making everything in life better. Think of the samurai - warrior-poets who could chop you in half and then compose haiku about cherry blossoms (there was a lot of Kurosawa in my childhood). They understood the body/mind connection.
